Important News
Sorry for the lack of news, my computer had serious issues and almost all of the parts had to be replaced this week. I know I am behind on news such as the new photos that have been released, the opry performance pictures, the lyrics to all of the songs and more..
What I want to do is redesign this site this week for the launching of Carnival Ride next week. So I will focus on doing that and when I publish the new design the new updates and past weeks news will be included.

Carnival Ride Track Information Plus New Photoshoot Photo
In an updated biography located in the newly designed carrieunderwoodofficial.com, Carrie talks about tracks on the new album Carnival Ride. From the biography:
""All-American Girl" turns the story of a baby girl born to a man praying for a boy into a celebration of femininity. If there is a bit of autobiography in the song--Carrie is the youngest of three daughters--there is even more in "Crazy Dreams," an ode to "long shots" and a celebration of the fact that "even crazy dreams come true," something she knows better than almost anyone.
"Last Name" is a bit of pure fun celebrating reckless abandon, and is one of two songs Carrie wrote with Hillary Lindsey. The other is the album's first single, "So Small," a song that announces the new project as a major step forward. With "So Small" Carrie focuses on what’s important in life and not worrying about the small things. It also focuses on the strength of her voice and personality, instilling it with freshness and relevance."
A new photoshoot photo that we have seen before has now been added to the gallery. Click here to view it.

Bid On Swarovski jacket designed by Carrie Underwood
Each celebrity was given the same denim jacket to customize and embellish with beautiful Swarovski Crystals. Carrie’s design appears tinged by eastern mysticism, with a colorful, rangoli-like pattern on each shoulder and stand-up collar encircled by blazing suns. On the back, this same influence literally takes flight in the form of exotic butterflies (some in crystal, others as brooches) rising from beltline to daisy-strewn yoke.
Both the rear waist and yoke of this heavily-distressed jacket feature intricate yet subtle flowering garlands, while the cuffs are trimmed in crystal-overlaid gold ribbon. Underwood has boldly signed her name—with a heart at each end—in magenta marker along the inside rear waist. You can bid on this jacket by clicking here (this will take you to the auction at Ebay). To see detailed photos of this jacket including the back, visit the charity auction photo website.

My Carrie Photos
CUO would like to invite all Carrie fans to submit their photos to the Carrie Underwood Online photo gallery. Email all photos to mycarriephotos@carrieunderwodonline.com.
Detective CUO
I decided to study the ascap registrations to determine the chances of the known tracks being on Carnival Ride.. (I'm not right, I know).
What I noticed about every song off of Some Hearts, is they each have a publisher(s). You MUST have a registered publisher for royalty and copyright reasons.. so then I went back to the 24 list of songs that I had complied earlier, and rechecked each one. I marked off the ones who DID NOT have a publisher...because this late in the game they would have to have one registered by now (common sense).
Of the 24 songs, below are 16 songs that have a publisher registered.
1.Crazy Dreams
2. Before I Fall Too Far
3. I Was Gonna Love You
4. So Small (confirmed) (Carrie also listed as performer here)
5. Too Close To Home
6. Get Out Of This Town (Carrie also listed as performer here)
7. She's A Wildflower (Carrie also listed as performer here)
8. The Way I Like It (Carrie also listed as performer here)
9. Goodbye Feels Like A Good Thing
10. That Don't Mean I Don't Miss You
11. Last Name (confirmed)
12. Just A Dream (confirmed)
13. Flat On The Floor (confirmed)
14. I Told You So (confirmed cover)
15. Wheel Of The World (confirmed)
16. All-American Girl
ok... NOW.. I went back to the fanclub and remembered a question posed to Carrie about which one of these songs below are ACTUALLY on her album. The tracks asked to her was:
1. GET OUT OF THIS TOWN
2. EVERYBODY CRIES
3. NEVER GET USED TO YOU
4. SHE'S A WILDFLOWER
5. THE MORE BOYS I MEET
6. THE TRUTH HURTS
7. THE WAY I LIKE IT
8. ALL-AMERICAN GIRL
9. JUST A DREAM
10. THE LAZY DAY SONG
Carrie's response:
"There are only a couple of those that are right...I can't tell you which ones though, 'cause we haven't even decided the songs that are actually going on the album yet..."
What I gathered from this information is that two to three songs off that list made the cut. One we know for sure now, is "Just A Dream". So, at least two others made the cut.. but which ones? Well, guess what...
only four of those (besides Just A Dream) have a publisher attached to them.. and they are:
1. Get Out Of This Town (Carrie also listed as performer here)
2. She's A Wildflower (Carrie also listed as performer here)
3. The Way I Like It (Carrie also listed as performer here)
4. All-American Girl
In the end, I HAVE NO IDEA but I had some extra time today so I decided to put on my detective hat. haha.. One thing is for sure.. there is no Carrie Underwood offical track that has NO PUBLISHER attached. Each one of every song she's ever released has a publisher named in the registration.
Ringle Me This
Sony/BMG has introduced it's latest solution to the onrise falling of music sales. It's called a Ringle, and yes it's a different type of "jingle". According to reuters,
" Each ringle is expected to contain three songs -- one hit and maybe one remix and an older track -- and one ringtone, on a CD with a slip-sleeve cover. The idea is that if consumers in the digital age can download any tracks they want individually, why not let them buy singles in the store as well? It also enables stores to get involved in the ringtone phenomenon."
They will release 50 titles during October and November, while UMG will have anywhere from 10 to 20 titles ready
Arista Nashville will release Carrie's "Before He Cheats" as its first ringle. The cd will feature "Before He Cheats", "I Ain't In Checotah Anymore" from Some Hearts, and an exclusive live version of "Cheats" from the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party where Carrie performed in February of this year.

"Fly Anyway" Rejected
We posted a picture of a pitch CD to Carrie Underwood called "Fly Anyway". Sadly, we just received official word from Carrie's team moments ago that Carrie did decide to pass on "Fly Anyway". The song will NOT be on Carnival Ride. If you would like to read the lyrics, I did post them in album news area. I am still working to confirm if the other two songs ("Till I'm Not Broken" and "She Did It For Me") I found today were taken on the final cd tracklisting. To be honest, I believe the other two songs were not included on the CD as well because I received both of these "discarded demo cd's" together at the same time - but I will confirm them none the less.
Ole Music pitched many songs to Carrie through Mark Bright; however, she passed on all songs from Ole Music (see cd photo). Mark Bright did prefer "Fly Anyway" as one of his better songs and wanted Carrie to cut it but she decided to pass on the advice of herself and other crew members.

Faith Hill Almost Quit After CMA Awards Incident (Source: CMT)
From CMT:
September 11, 2007 — Faith Hill says the much-talked-about CMA Awards show incident, when she appeared to be upset with Carrie Underwood's Female Vocalist win, almost caused her to give up her career.
As Faith has explained, she was joking and "making fun of herself" when she cried, "What?" as Carrie's name was read, but the moment had tremendous backlash. The video of her reaction became one of YouTube's biggest sensations of 2006, being viewed more than 7 million times.
Faith tells Dial-Global that she went home having no idea how her joke had been perceived until she got a call from her friend Martina McBride, who told her that people didn't think she was joking and that she thought "this was going to be around for a while."
Faith said she hung up the phone and cried and then thought about her three daughters who had to go to school the next day with their mother being the talk of the town. "I couldn't believe it, I couldn't imagine it," she says. "So I called Carrie Underwood right away, immediately, and I let her know that it was nothing. I was not a sore loser, I was joking with the camera guy. I was making fun of myself. There are miles of tape of me doing that along my career for the 14 years I've been in this business. The camera moved away from me and I was still laughing, but no one saw that."
With Gracie, Maggie and Audrey on her mind, the next day Faith actually considered throwing in the towel on her career. "The world was unraveling right in front of me and I just wanted to quit," she says. "I called my manager and I said, 'I'm done. This is over for me. I don't need this in my life. I'm not this kind of person.' And then when my kids came home from school, I sat them down and said, 'I'm sure you've been teased or your mom's been talked about at school today.' And they go, 'Yeah, there's a lot of talk about you at school today, Mom.' I said, 'I just want you to know that I was only joking and it was never meant in a mean way and the joke was on me. I was making fun of myself.'
"And all three of them were like, 'Mom, come on, we know that, everybody knows that.' I was so thankful because I thought they were gonna get so much grief at school from my big — I don't want to say mistake — but my episode. They were gonna get the brunt of it, and that would have hurt worse than the hell that I went through, is for my kids to have gone through any kind of hell. They don't deserve it. But they were fine and they handled it in a great way."
More Pitch Songs
Apparently, there were a few more songs pitched to Carrie by Mark Bright for consideration on Carnival Ride. They are called "Till I'm Not Broken" and "She Did It For Me"... Click on the photo for a bigger version of the pitch cd. I will post lyrics to both these songs in a few days. It is NOT confirmed or known if she choose these songs as final selections for Carnival Ride.
Fly Anyway, Carrie Underwood
CUO has obtained a picture of a cd demo song given to Carrie back in January of this year for consideration on her new album, Carnival Ride. It is unknown whether Carrie choose the song to be on the final tracklisting or not. The song was pitched to Carrie from Shane Barett and Tammy Brown(Nashville creative manager for OLE music) via Carole Ann Mobley per Mark Bright on 1-15-07.
The lyrics begin as:
"I remember the day, way back when, when the good guys did not always win". (view full lyrics - click here)
The Video for "So Small" was finished last night and was delievered to CMT today. Look for the video to air on CMT's top 20 this Thursday! Carrie Underwood Downtown
TMZ.COM recently caught up with Carrie Underwood as she was leaving an event at 2 a.m. on September 7th, 2007. She gracefully signed a guitar for some fans (right...I mean men who sell the guitars on Ebay for four times what they are worth) and TMZ filmed her.
She seemed happy and joking with her friends, including Matt of whome she went to College with and now works for her. Her entourage even joked with her and faked throwing her blacberry out of the window once she got into her SUV.
*Apparently I missed this news when it happened, sorry guys! I get so busy sometimes I lack in the breaking news department but you still love me, right? :) *

Q&A With Carrie Underwood at Max Azria (Source: blogs.glam.com)
GlamScene recently done a Q&A with Carrie about her fashion rocks week.
I saw you perform at Fashion Rocks last night, and you were amazing. What was it like to perform with such a phenomenal group of artists?
Thank you! It was a lot of fun. I wish I got the opportunity to actually sit down and watch the show because there were so many great people on stage and most of the time you spend getting ready and things like that. But for once it’s not a live show so I can watch it tonight. I’m excited.
Are you wearing Max Azria? What do you love about the line?
I am. I love it because pretty much everything looks good. And the clothes are made for normal people. He’s a designer that I know that I can go to for anything. So it’s a good standard to have. Everything looks great
How do you stay healthy and in shape? I try my best to eat as good as I can – eat as healthy as I can. I exercise probably at least four times a week.
What’s one thing you think people would be surprised to know about you? Oh Geez. That’s always really tough. I think pretty much everyone knows pretty much everything there is to know about Carrie Underwood. I play on a softball team back home We have a big group of people, and we go play softball once a week.
Describe your personal style.
When I’m offstage – easy and comfortable. But I like to try different things when I’m going out and going to award shows. I try to keep things as classy as I can, of course. But I like to play a little bit. And I feel like the more I do this, the more I can play and funk things up and have fun with them.
Who is one of your idols?
Gwen Stefani. She is a music icon, a culture icon and a style icon. I think she just does a great job of balancing everything and she always looks great.

Rumor Mill - Carnival Ride
I have been reading some news reports that Carrie Underwood's new album, "Carnival Ride" may contain 19 tracks. This has not been confirmed, and it is simply a rumor. I find this rumor to be unlikely true, or true but only if Underwood produces a double cd disc feature in Carnival Ride. Normally, only 12 to 13 tracks make a disc cut. I guess we will just have to wait untill the official tracklisting is released to know if this is true or not. One of the reasons I believe it to be untrue is because at a recent Carrie Underwood concert last week, Carrie told the fans her album "was so close to being finished it's not even funny". If the album isn't 100 % finished, a final tracklisting seems unlikely.
I classify this rumor to be FALSE and predict there will be around 12 or 13 final tracks.
Thursday, September 6, 2007 – Carrie Underwood entered Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart at number 6 with 70,808 downloads, earning the highest debut position and greatest first-week sales of any country airplay single in the history of the digital chart.
Co-written by Underwood with Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, "So Small" made the record books last month, when its number 20 Billboard/R&R country airplay debut established the highest chart entry by a solo country female in Nielsen BDS history.
The only country artist to ever top Underwood's achievements on the Digital Songs chart is Underwood herself, whose American Idol "Idol Gives Back" charity recording of the Pretenders' classic, "I'll Stand by You," this past May became the best-debuting digital track ever recorded by a country artist.
"So Small" is from Underwood's upcoming album, "Carnival Ride," dropping Oct. 23.

Flat On The Floor - A Potential New Tracklisting
Recently, Jeff734 from carriefans.com made a post stating a quote from Ashley Monroes (a songwriters) myspace blog which reads,
"I got my very first plaque for 500,000 records sold last night for a song I wrote on the Kellie Pickler CD!! It's called "I'm on my way." I was so excited! My publishing company (Wrensong) had this little get together and all the writers got to listen to their upcoming cuts. I also got to hear the final mix of my CARRIE UNDERWOOD CUT!!! OHHH MY GOSH!!! She sang her butt off on it.. I'm sooooo happy.
I have been writing almost every day! "
"Flat On The Floor" written by Ashley Monroe/Brett James was orginally recorded by artist, Katrina Elam. Recently, a Katrina follower said .....
"Finally, she (Katrina Elam) goes on to suggest her label may have taken "a little cash under the table" to shelve a potential single of hers so that an artist on another label could cut it. "
Does this mean that Carrie Underwood has landed the Katrina Elam song "Flat On The Floor?" It has not been confirmed yet so it will not be listed in the tracklistings untill it is. For now, you can view the lyrics by visiting this website.
Carrie To Sing "Ever After" from the movie "Enchanted"
Carrie Underwood Online has learned from its exclusive sources that Carrie will be singing "Ever After" from the movie enchanted. Underwood recently shot the video to the soundtrack in downtown LA. You can see the pictures by clicking here.
The movie will be released November 21st, 2007. The soundtrack will contain 6 songs and reference classic Disney characters. More information on the movie can be found here. You can see a high resolution trailer of the filmhere.
Also staring in the film as Nancy, is Idina Menzel who also has a song on the soundtrack. Recently in an interview, Idina stated,
"and she (Amy Adams) plays this princess, and James Marsden is the prince. They fall in love in one day, they sing a song where they find each other(in the city), and the birds sew her dress."
Included in the movie, but not confirmed for the soundtrack, is artist Jon Mclaughlin (http://www.myspace.com/jonmclaughlin). Mclaughin will be singing (onscreen) on a ballroom stage - a song written for the movie soundtrack by Ric Wake. Others writing on the soundtrack are Stephen Schwartz, and Alan Menkan.
In a recent TMZ.COM viewing of the video of "Ever After" filmed in LA, Underwood finds her love - in the city as normal dressed onlookers observe.

Pre-Order Carrie Underwood's New Album on Amazon
From her fanclub front page: In choosing the album title, Underwood found Carnival Ride (taken from a lyric line in the new disc) to be a great metaphor. She explains, “You step onto this ride called life, and it’s a crazy thing you don’t know anything about, but you get on it anyway.
You do what you can to lean different directions to try and get it to go where you want it to go, but you can’t stop it – it just keeps moving.
That’s why Carnival Ride works as my album title, because it describes the wonderful craziness that I’ve been through over the past couple years.”
You may now view the cover of Carnival Ride, Carrie Underwood's new album, in the photo gallery. It is in HQ so please allow time for loading. View it by clicking here.

Kara DioGuardi Track Considered For Underwood's New Album
For a few months now, there have been many track and writing rumors of Carrie Underwood's new album, "Carnival Ride" due out in October of 2007.
We recently stumbled upon Kara DioGuardi's updated biography, which was written and released to the press on July 17th, 2007, as the following lines being quoted.
"Kara’s forthcoming releases include cuts with Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Michael Buble, Daniel Powter, Nick Lachey, Nicole Scherzinger, Britney Spears, Daniel Powter, Cheetah Girls, Ashlee Simpson, Frankie J., Clique, JC Chasez, Samantha Jade, Puddle of Mud, I-9, and Cassie. "
DioGuardi recently quoted that "Lost" (released recently by Faith Hill) was her first country song release. DioGuardi has been known for songs like "Walk Away" by Kelly Clarkson and "Ain't No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera.
Considering if "Lost" is DioGuardi's first country released track (see http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117969374.html?categoryid=16&cs=1 for reference), and since the biography highlighting forthcoming releases with Carrie Underwood, we are guessing she has either wrote, or writing a track that is to be on, or to be considered on "Carnival Ride".
We will let you know if this rumor comes forth with an officially released song title. You may download Kara DioGuardi's biography here. (Right Click, Save As).
Billboard.com released this article back in June of 2007 which can be found by clicking here. It states:
"One of the most promising new areas for the company's writers is country music. A reciprocal deal with Nashville publisher Big Loud Shirt helped DioGuardi land cuts on Carrie Underwood's and Faith Hill's next releases. "We need to start setting up a Nashville trip for [Greg]," she says, referring to writer/producer Greg Wells (Mika). ¶ The idea, Finfer says, is to leverage the respective companies' relationships with pop and country labels: "We trade them on unique and special access. You're not sending the track to an A&R guy. And when [DioGuardi] goes, she can drag someone in with her."

The video for Carrie Underwood's latest single, "So Small", has been completed and is currently being edited. Look for Carrie's "So Small" video to debut in the coming weeks.

Carrie Underwood - So Small (Lyrics) (c) Carrie Underwood, Arista Records, Hillary Lindsay, Luke Laird
What you got if you aint got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
Don't run out on your dreams
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searching for forever,
Is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters, after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
So easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big, at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
And swallows you whole
While you sittin round thinking about what you can't change
And worryin' about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
Better make it count, cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searchin for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searchin for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh it sure makes eveyrthing else
Seem so small

Site Returns
Sorry for the lack of news, I got behind on work plus I took a summer vacation out of town- but I have returned! News and Pictures to be updated this week!
Carrie Underwood has been touring the country singing her hits from her first album "Some Hearts". However, during this time she has found time to continue working on a second album which is due out on October 23rd, 2007.
According to blogcritics.org, "The album does not currently have a title, but Underwood will be working with Mark Knight who penned most of the tracks on Some Hearts. Knight says she’ll be staying with the country genre with this second CD, but something tells me the songs will be more in the vein of "Before He Cheats" to try to replicate the success of her top 10 hit, which was her first crossover pop radio hit ever."
